Creating An Abstract Art Using Silk Painting Supplies

By Leanne Goff

Abstract art can look very carefree as it uses different strokes. An artist portrays a different story to each painting. It may look very simple but this is not the case. It is much difficult than regular scenery or portrait art. With this medium, you can not copy the idea from any picture or view. Once the artist picks up his brush, he will picture what he feels and thinks at that moment. Silk painting supplies can be great tools to come across a beautiful picture.

For starters, you must be able to order a made canvas to begin with your work. They are sold out in your local craft shop. The sizes range and you can pick out the kind which is convenient for your work. If you are just new with this craft, start using the smallest frame. It will be a starting point to experimenting while learning at the same time.

The frames are made to be used right away. You do not need to add major adjustments. Use a blank page of a colored medium. Make use of a solution to lighten up the background and make it entertaining. Cover it with another coat of paint. This will be able to dry up easily using a special acrylic.

Another option you can take advantage of is the board because this is cheaper or spread another medium on a flat board. This will work well if you are in a crisis or a limited budget. A solution can be a material that will be used by putting a few drops which will be maximized in a great way.

Decide if you wish to use the oil or acrylic type. Some do not contain strong odors and are easy to manipulate. What is good about these products is the fact that it dries faster than the others. It can also be layered over by another color if you need to cover your flaw.

However, the oil type of solution does not work this way. Unlike others, they are the hardest to even out and they produce a distinctive smell. They limit the ability of artists to cover their work if they made a mistake. It is not highly recommended for experiments.

If you have not decided on a color just yet, pick one from the color chart from an easel where your brushes are located. Start with the most basic colors and work your way out. With the use of this chart, you can determine which one is opposite or which of them belongs together.

Picture out what object or view you want to design before you choose a brush. Your focus should not be on the details and the outcome but what is inside your mind. The picture is not defined by how you look at it from one angle, choose a different side to the story.

If you have decided that it is done, stop right there. Do not overdo the art and improve it. The painting will show how the creator has inspired others based on how he ended the drawing. A lot of people will come and explain a different interpretation about it. Silk painting supplies are useful mediums to color a different scene.
